Sonya & James & Gus
The Greeners are a London based trio (and sometimes more), who use multiple acoustic instruments and intricate vocal harmonies to create their innovative sound. Their roots are in folk/pop/bluegrass, featuring evocative lyrics, ear-worm riffs, lush strings and soaring melodies.
In 2017 they released their self-titled album, ‘The Greeners’, and received immediate praise and recognition from Radio 6 Music, Fresh on the Net and BBC Introducing. Their song ‘Story’ is the theme tune for Channel 4’s comedy blap ‘Lowdown’.
Sonya and James started writing songs together in 2015 when they met playing Harry and Faye Greener in Punchdrunk's 'The Drowned Man'. Gus saw them play at the Queen's Head in 2017, they invited her to add some cello on their album, and she's been playing live with them since 2018.
